Oblix Living a new brand in the build to rent sector approached House Marketing to create a a branding solution that would be timeless but design-led to appeal to a discerning tenant for the high quality rented accommodation on offer.

House Marketing undertook a comprehensive branding exercise including research and consideration of competitors in the built to rent sector. We began by establishing the target market in collaboration with Oblix. Unlike many of its competitors, Oblix intends to market to a more discerning tenant, likely slightly older and with more expendable income. Its properties will offer spacious accommodation, secure entrance and exits and a range of communal facilities designed to enhance modern lifestyles.

We created a range of logo options in a variety of different styles designed to communicate with the target market. The logo style was selected from a presentation of three options and then developed into a final logo type. It was simplified from a multi-colour logo to a single colour logo on a coloured background. Colours were explored from an initial starting point of a brights palette. It was the decided to explore a more muted and mature colour palette resulting in the pastel teal colour branding. Not only will this colour set the tone for marketing materials, but also for the reception designs in the scheme buildings.

We also aimed to create a solution that could be extended in future to other co-living and co-working brands should Oblix Living decide to move into these sectors in future.

The brand solution was implemented on headed paper and business cards and a website while conceptual design was created for scheme branding flags, signs and receptions to ensure that future application of the branding was viable and visually impactful.

A single page website was designed and written to provide an initial introduction to the brand and the business concept. This is in support of applications for funding, acquisitions and acquiring new sites. In time it is intended to expand the site to incorporate scheme listings and facilitate an online booking and rental system in support of managing agents.
